The Kentei is designed to measure your number recognition level. The examiner will read a number aloud as a question. Then you will enter the number as an answer. You pass the Kentei when your score is more than 80%.

2. Yomiagezan Calculation in English

The Kentei is designed to measure your calculation level with soroban. You will hear five numbers read aloud for each problem, and you calculate them correctly by using the soroban. You pass the Kentei when your score is more than 80%.
